THE trust that looks after health centres in Northwich and Winsford has been named one of the best in the country.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) , which manages Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford and Leighton Hospital in Crewe, was announced as one of the Comparative Health Knowledge System (CHKS) 40Top Hospitals for 2014.
The award is based on 22 key performance indicators like safety, clinical effectiveness, health outcomes, efficiency, patient experience and quality of care.
Tracy Bullock, MCHFT chief executive, said: “I am delighted that we have again been named as one of the best in the country, as it is recognition that we are providing care to our patients that is safe and of a high standard.
“It is a great achievement and the credit must be given to every member of our staff – they give their all each and every day so that our patients can be given the best care possible.”
