Updated 10:01am Friday 16th May 2014 in News
MID Cheshire College opened its doors to welcome staff and students from a technical college in Japan to share its excellence in the engineering sector.
The students toured the engineering buildings at the Hartford campus, observing the research programmes at the college and were eager to compare eastern and western techniques.
“For more than a decade we have built up a very productive relationship with our friends from the Kinki University Technical College in Kumano,” said college principal Richard Hollywood.
“We have organised a number of successful exchange visits, and our staff and students have always been extremely impressed with their counterparts in Japan and the facilities available at the college.
“The Japanese students have had an excellent time here in Cheshire, and we look forward to welcoming visitors in the forthcoming years.”
The whistlestop stay included visits to the Anderton Boat Lift and Oulton Park, Manchester and Liverpool and Dinorwig power station in north Wales.
