JOB seekers are being urged to attend the Weaver Vale Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair at Mid Cheshire College on Thursday, May 29.

The third annual fair will feature dozens of national and local employers, who will have stands advertising their vacancies, including Roberts Bakery, Price Waterhouse Cooper, Timpson and Vauxhall.

There will also be support and advice on subjects such as CV writing and how to do well in interviews.

The call to attend the jobs fair has come from Weaver Vale MP Graham Evans, who left school with few qualifications.

“I spent some time being unemployed, so I know how difficult it is and how important support can be,” said Mr Evans.

“I’m very pleased to be working with Mid Cheshire College, Warrington Chamber of Commerce and Job Centre Plus, and am thrilled so many major employers have already signed up to the day.

“The fair is open to all job seekers in my constituency, and I hope to see many of them meeting with employers and support organisations to help them into employment.”

The fair is being held at the Hartford campus on Chester Road, Northwich, and runs from 10am to 3pm.
