COLLEGE students Ellie Meredith and Ellie Nicholas are part of a 12-strong team which has won a place in the north west final of a Young Enterprise competition.
The girls, from Tarporley, attend Abbey Gate College, and are members of the college’s Wolf Tales Young Enterprise group.
The group beat a host of other sixth form Young Enterprise groups from local schools to become Cheshire and Warrington champions.
The team is now through to the north west final, which takes place on June 19.
The girls devised, illustrated and printed a book called Candy Floss Clouds, which is aimed at four to eight-year-olds.
The main character is a girl called Abbey Gate, and all the proceeds from the sale of the book are going to a local children’s charity, Stick’n’Step.
Copies of the book, priced at £5, can be obtained by contacting the college at admin@abbeygatecollege.co.uk.
