PUPILS enjoyed a sweet treat as a reward for designing their favourite meals.

About 20 children at St Wilfrid’s Catholic Primary School took part in an Easter competition organised by Sarah Booth, the school’s catering manager.

They designed food plates from craft materials, and the pupil who submitted the best entry in each year group received a cone of sweets from Jane’s Sweet Delights.

“I asked the children to create a plate of their favourite meal from craft materials, and was delighted with their efforts, especially those created by the little ones,” said Sarah.

Materials used included string for spaghetti and Plasticine for peas, and the winners were chosen by members of the school’s catering staff.
