MORE than 80 swimmers took the plunge to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
The Northwich Rotary Club Swimathon saw 19 teams take part and looks on track to beat last year’s fundraising total of £7,000.
The annual event has raised more than £100,000 for local charities during its 14-year history.
The chosen charities that will benefit from this year’s swimathon, held at Moss Farm pool, include St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice, Age UK, Hope House Hospice and Rotary charities.
