THE life and work of writer Robert Westall will be explored in an illustrated talk in Northwich on Wednesday, April 30.

Tom Hughes, curator of the current Westall exhibition at Weaver Hall Museum and Workhouse, will give the presentation from 3pm.

Tom will reveal the many Northwich connections of the author, one of the 20th century’s most important writers for children and young people, including teaching at Sir John Deane’s, his home in Winnington, his antiques business in Davenham and examples of local places in his books.

The talk will take place at the London Road museum and is part of its monthly ‘Tea and Talk’ programme.

Admission is £1, which includes tea or coffee.
