ACCESS to a proposed housing estate could be a major problem, Rudheath parish councillor Tony Lawrenson has warned.
Land at Park Farm off Shipbrook Road, Rudheath, is earmarked for up to 200 houses by developers.
To gauge reaction to the scheme they are holding a workshop for residents and councillors tomorrow, Thursday, at a local venue.
In addition a public exhibition on the scheme is to take place later in the year, possibly next month.
Clr Lawrenson has been invited to tomorrow’s meeting, and has concerns about the access to the planned development.
“The problem is going to be the access to the housing estate, as there is only access from the bypass, and Shipbrook Road is very narrow and busy,” he said, adding his concerns would be shared by residents.
In respect of the development he said it was a case of ‘wait and see’, and Clr Lawrenson is seeking to arrange for a representative of the developers to come and talk to Rudheath Parish Council.
