RESIDENTS will be able to question their MP about how Government policies affect Moulton at a meeting on Friday, May 2.
Stephen O’Brien, MP for Eddisbury, will be at the annual parish meeting to give an address and also run a question and answer session.
The parish council wrote to Mr O’Brien in February to ask him to speak to villagers in the light of planning proposals in and around the village.
Clr Tony Rigby, chairman of Moulton Parish Council, said: “The parish council is highly appreciative of Mr O’Brien’s visit and we look forward to welcoming him to the village.
“This is the first time that a sitting MP has spoken to villagers for many years and I am sure that the evening will prove most informative.
“This will be an opportunity for villagers to put questions to our MP and seek an insight into Government policies and how they affect Moulton.”
The meeting will be held in the village hall, in Main Road, from 7pm on Friday, May 2.
There will also be a report from the chairman and an open forum.
