A DAINTY and delicious event of springtime afternoon tea, flower arranging and crafts will be held in Antrobus on Sunday, May 4.

The fundraiser will take place at Antrobus Village Hall from 12.20pm to 3pm to celebrate National Flower Arranging Day and raise funds for the NeuroMuscular Centre, in Winsford.

It will include a home-made afternoon tea featuring dainty finger food and freshly baked scones set to live classical background music.

Once afternoon tea has been served there will be chance to browse an array of independent craft stalls.

Guests are invited to bring spring time bouquets for a flower arranging competition.

Expert judge Mabel Musgrove will be on hand to pick the winners for the categories ‘Spring Time Sweetness’, ‘Shabby Chic’ and ‘Rustic Charm’.

The overall winner will receive a gift voucher for the exclusive Ciro’s Brasserie at the Grosvenor Pulford.

Gemma Foxcroft, organiser, said: “This event promises to be a relaxing, somewhat decadent way to really treat yourself and possibly win some fantastic prizes this May Bank Holiday while raising funds and awareness for an incredibly worthy local cause.”

A raffle will also be held, and organisers are still appealing for prizes.

Tickets for the event are £10 per person, including afternoon tea and entry to the flower arranging competition.
