A WEAVERHAM Tesco employee was described as a ‘superstar’ after donating Easter eggs for children at the Community Centre.

Brian Rich, who works at Weaverham Tesco Express on Northwich Road, took it upon himself to donate 40 Easter eggs as well as other chocolate from the store for an Easter Party at Weaverham Community Centre.

Brian also volunteered his time to help out at the party, which was on Sunday April 13.

Brian said: “I wanted to give something back to the community because times are still hard and think people should help each other out more without having to be asked.”

The event saw kids from the area enjoy an afternoon of games and plenty of chocolate with each child leaving with an Easter egg.

Linzi Lowndes, events co-ordinator at the Community Centre, said: “Brian has been a massive help for us I can’t thank him enough, he’s a superstar.”

“We just wanted to give the kids something to do on a Sunday and they had loads of fun and all left with an Easter egg, thanks to Brian and Tesco.”

Brian offered to help out after speaking to Linzi who is a regular customer at the Tesco Express store and went to his manager to ask what they could do for the Commuity Centre.

Brian added: “The store has donated things to the Community Centre before but never this much so it’s great that I’ve been able to do this.”

“I’m trying to get the store more affiliated with the customers and I think this is a great way to do it but make people happy at the same time.”
