NORTHWICH people have been thanked for their generous support for a charity car wash.
Drivers turned out in force to back Sarturday’s event, which raised £415 for the Fire Fighters Charity.
“Firefighters, cadets and teams of helpers, with their buckets and sponges, raised money for this worthy cause, as well as handing out road safety advice at Northwich Fire Station,” said Steve McCormick from B Watch.
“We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped us to raise an amazing £415.”
Fire Fighters Charity chairman, Mark Cashin, said: “It is testament to the support we have from the public when events such as this show how generous people can be.”
It costs more than £9 million every year to keep the charity running, and with no Government funding, it relies completely on donations from the public and fire community.
