I'd like to take the opportunity to thank the many many teachers who have not chosen to strike today - appreciate it ;-)
    Well said Over Resident.

Those that are working today obviously care about the pupils and are keen to ensure their education, unlike their money grabbing, whinging colleagues who will no doubt be stood outside the school gates, supping their "Starbucks".

What a pity it is not raining, perhaps then they would be less keen to strike."

PARTIAL closures will be in affect at some schools across Northwich and Winsford tomorrow, Wednesday March 25.

The walkout, involving members of the National Union of Teachers, has been organised in response to Government changes on pay and pension.

Across Cheshire West and Chester, 91 schools will remain open, nine will be closed and 39 partially open.

The Council is awaiting information from six schools.

The borough’s 15 Academies and two free schools will be responding directly to the Department for Education.
