POLICE caught and arrested a man who tried to escape from officers in Northwich after being stopped on suspicion of dealing drugs.

Plain clothes officers were dispatched to Carey Park at around 9am on Wednesday, March 19.

A police spokesman said the 21-year-old Liverpool man was carrying enough heroin and crack cocaine to make 150 deals in a day – equating to around £1,500 of Class A narcotics.

He was charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply heroin.

The man appeared in Chester Magistrates Court on Thursday, March 20 and was remanded to appear at Chester Crown Court on April 1.
