FASHION students saw their work take pride of place in the high street when they held a show with a difference.
The group of foundation degree and extended diploma students from Mid Cheshire College decided to hold a fashion show through Northwich town centre to show off their creations.
“They thought a guerilla fashion show would be a great way of showing off their work to the general public,” said tutor Susan Atkin.
The catwalk started at Northwich Library, in Witton Street, and the students paraded down to the market square and back again.
“We certainly stirred up a lot of interest,” Susan said.
Level 3 students Annabel Balance, John McShane, Maria Miltiadous, Connon O'Brien and Courtney Tew used their pattern cutting skills to recreate a Zara dress.
The theme for fellow students, Megan Jones, Jacob Jones Jenny Beard and Rebecca Garwood was sustainability, so they researched the use of environmentally friendly materials and socially responsible methods of production.
Foundation degree students Kathryn Crank, Rushmeem Rahaman, Rosie Astbury, Dina Massey, Rebecca Phillips and Ruth Eaton designed a range of tops, dresses and jackets aimed at a selected high street brand inspired by high fashion and street style.
