A MOTORCYCLIST suffered a serious leg injury in a crash in Weaverham on Sunday, March 9.

The rider, a 42-year-old man from Stockton Heath, was travelling along the A49 towards Weaverham Roundabout, in the direction of Warrington, when he was in collision with a Vauxhall Astra travelling in the opposite direction.

Emergency services were called at 3.19pm and the man was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital.

Anyone with information about the incident should ring Cheshire Polcie on 101 quoting incident number 580 of 9 March 2014.
