RESIDENTS can peek behind the hoardings at work on Northwich’s new entertainment and leisure venue.
But no-one has to leave the comfort of their armchair as a webcam has been set up at the Memorial Court site.
The camera, set up by contractor Wates Construction, offers two views, including a live image and a time lapse video showing the progress to date.
Clr Stuart Parker, Cheshire West and Chester Council’s executive member for culture and economy, said: “The work on Memorial Court is really coming on apace.
“The excavation to the swimming pools has begun, the foundation works are under way and the steel frame is due to be installed this month.
“Thanks to the webcam, residents can now watch all this happening from a unique aerial perspective.”
Clr Amy Mercer-Bailey said: “Now the hoardings are up people can’t see what is happening on site, so the webcam is a great way to keep an eye on progress.
“I’m sure it will prove fascinating to watch over the coming months as the building starts to take shape.”
The webcam can be accessed via a link on the Weaver Valley website weavervalley.org.uk.
