Street scene already do a great job, the trouble is the litter is chucked into inaccessible places like over the fence into railway land. You can't blame the council for this one - responsibility lies entirely with the lazy yobs and vandals
That's not inaccessible by a long way, so get the council down there to sort it or are they just digging pointless holes and creating road works for no apparent reason??

It is the council's responsibility to clear it up.........why wouldn't it be.....just because they didn't create it doesn't mean they cant clear it up does it??"

SHOPPERS can do more to keep the town centre tidy and help enhance Northwich’s image, according to one disgruntled resident.

Debbie Trickett spotted this litter gathering next to the Barnardo’s shop near Matalan and Sainsbury’s on Saturday.

“Whilst out in Northwich town centre on Saturday, I was appalled to see the amount of rubbish on the piece of land next to the Barnardo’s shop,” she said. “The volume of rubbish was such that it prompted me to take a photo.

“I know we have seen gale force winds recently which have contributed to the problem, but I think everyone will agree the mess is terrible and so disheartening, especially when a real effort is being made elsewhere to improve Northwich's image with building works and developments.”
