TODDLERS will be able to hone their football skills from an early age with a new style pre-school in Northwich.

Mini Dribblers will be launched at Shurlach Chapel, in Rudheath, on Monday, March 10.

Husband and wife team Paul and Debbie Lambert have set up the fun group for children aged between 18 months and five years old.

Debbie said: “It’s very similar to a pre school or play school but it’s around football, ball control, playing skills and following instruction.

“There’s nothing like this round here.

“I’ve had three boys myself and know that once they’re on their feet all they want to do is kick a ball, learn different skills, run around and get rid of their energy.”

Sessions will be run every Monday and Tuesday, although a venue is yet to be confirmed for Tuesdays.

There will be different times for different ages, with children aged between 18 months and three years taking part from 9.15am to 10am and children from three to five taking part from 10.15am to 11am.

The afternoon sessions will take place at Lostock Community Centre, in Lostock, from 1.15pm to 2pm for younger toddlers and 2.15pm to 3pm for older toddlers.

Paul is a fully qualified football and children’s coach and aims to make the sessions about fun, playing games, learning and developing.
