SPEED limits could be reduced on four Davenham roads under council plans.
Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWAC) has proposed new 20mph zones on London Road, Church Street, Green Lane and Fulton Grove.
The London Road zone would start on the Northwich side of Green Lane and run past the junction with Fulton Grove.
In Church Street the speed limit would be 20mph from its junction with London Road and run past the junction with Davenham Court.
In Green Lane the zone will run from the junction with London Road to the junction with Green Avenue.
The Fulton Grove zone will run for its entire length.
Members of Davenham Parish Council noted the proposals at their latest meeting but said they were different to what they expected.
Clr Arthur Wood said: “They’ve altered what they said originally, they’ve extended one we suggested but haven’t altered one coming past Grovemount and they’ve taken out the whole of Hartford Road.
“What we wanted it to do is come from a point where traffic wants to go faster it finds a sign that says 20mph.”
The deadline for objections is Wednesday, March 5.
Davenham Parish Council decided to write to CWAC’s highways department with its comments.
