BUDDING photographers who find technology challenging are being invited to join a new technology and camera group.

The 21st Century Technology and Camera group is holding its first meeting on Wednesday March 19 at Williowmere from 7-9pm.

People attending will be able to learn more about digital cameras, the internet, social media, IT, mobile phones and other kinds of technology used today.

Clifford Astles, who has organised the group, said: “The monthly meetings are for anyone who can share their own knowledge of technology or those who would like to learn.

“Technology is part of everyday life, however, it changes so often, many of us only get time to understand and make use of the basics, before we have to learn something new.

“The group meetings will cover specific  topics of interest such as PC’s and networking technology, laptops, internet routers and internet service providers, telecoms, mobile phones, digital camera and digital camera software.”

Meetings will include presentations and discussions on topics such as modifying photos using various software, how best to use the internet, information about routers and more.

Well known Northern UK wedding and commercial photographer mark Williamson will be presenting the first meeting.

The group is free to join on Facebook and is £1 per person to attend the first meeting. People of all ages and abilities are welcome to turn up.
