Date set for Northwich Carnival Queen selection

A CARNIVAL queen and her retinue will be chosen for Northwich in March.

The selection day for Northwich Carnival 2014 will be held at the Gladstone Club, in Station Road, from 1pm on Sunday, March 2.

There are sections in the retinue for both boys and girls aged between four and 15.

The carnival queen will be chosen from the 13 to 15 age range.

Youngsters have to be at the appropriate age on the day of the selection and have to live in the CW8 and CW9 postcode areas.

Doors open at 1pm and registration is until 2pm when judging begins.

Admission is £1 for adults and 50p for children.
