AN ACTRESS has chosen Northwich to launch her first book and a new version of an award-winning show.

Northwich-born Rebecca Little will be touring her show ‘What Became of the Red Shoes?’ in Cheshire schools throughout March and launching the book on March 2.

The picture book, written by Rebecca, is based on the show and illustrated by Hannah Lewis.

The story is about Granny Flo and Ruby, who goes on magical adventures as she explores her granny’s attic.

She meets a pirate, some helpful animals, a grumpy snowman and even has a trip to space.

The family show, which is supported by Arts Council England, features original music and dance and will also give children chance to join in a dance and drama workshop.

This is the first time that Little Pixie Productions, the theatre company that Rebecca runs with her two sisters Helena and Vicky, have applied and been awarded a grants for arts award from the Arts Council.

‘What Became of the Red Shoes?’ will also be performed at Tarvin Village Hall at 4pm on March 8, with tickets available at cheshireruraltouringarts.co.uk, and at Crewe Lyceum Theatre at 1.30pm on March 22, with tickets available by ringing 01270 368242.

The book launch is on Sunday, March 2, at the Davenham Players Theatre and is open to the public from 4.30pm to 5.30pm, where visitors can meet the author and illustrator and buy a signed copy of the book.
