FOLLOWING police enquiries yesterday, a fourth person has now been charged as part of Operation Edendale, an investigation into over 150 burglaries across Cheshire and Greater Manchester.

Ajaz Ahmed, 45, from Drake Street in Rochdale was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary at an address in Rochdale on Thursday 6 February 2014.

He has since been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary between April 1 and December 31. He will appear at Chester Magistrates today, Friday 7.

Three people have already been charged as part of the investigation and one bailed pending further inquiries.

Daryl Kennedy, 51, of HMP Forest Bank, Antony Bell, 57, of Mitchells Quay, Failsworth, Rosemary Pollard, 58, of Elvate Crescent, Cheetham Hill, have all been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary between 1st April and 31st December 2013.

They are next due in court on April 25.

A fourth man, aged 31 from Salford, was also arrested and bailed until March 12 pending further inquiries.
