A THIEF was caught after the victim of a bike robbery noticed his stolen cycle for sale in a Northwich pawn shop.

The incident followed a garage break-in in Carlton Road, Northwich overnight on Friday, January 31.

A bicycle was stolen which the owner then noticed the following Sunday in Cash Generators in Witton Street.

The shop assisted in apprehending a 35-year-old local man for the theft.

He is due before magistrates this month.

Just another reason to get rid of these god awful fast cash shops, not sure what purpose they serve apart from helping to fund the drug habits of the Northwich derelicts.

On the other hand, if the shop wasn't there this theft would probably have gone undetected.

If the shop wasn't there then I for one would be a happy camper.
