A DAFFODIL ball will be held in Hartford to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The ball will include a buffet, disco and prize draw and stars Leverne Scott Roberts, who appeared on BBC One’s The Voice, and Katie Brough, Vale Royal Athletics cross country champion.

Hartford Golf Club, in Burrows Hill, will host the event, which has been organised by the Northwich fundraising group for the charity.

Janis Finnegan, secretary to the group, said: “We are a very small but energetic group at the moment, always looking out for new members and, as this is our third year of fundraising, we have decided to become a little more ambitious and we are organising a Daffodil Ball to coincide with Marie Curie’s annual daffodil collections in March and April.”

It will take place on Saturday, March 22, from 7.30pm to 12.30am.

For tickets, priced £20 per person or £200 for a full table of 12 guests, email northwich.marie.curie@gmail.com or ring Sue Cook on 07725 860335.

The group is also appealing for any sponsorship or donations of prizes for the draw.
