SWIMMERS are being invited to dip their toes into a successful fundraising event this spring.
The Northwich Rotary Club Swimathon will take place at Moss Farm Pool, in Hartford, on the weekend of March 22 and 23.
During its 14-year history the event has raised more than £100,000 for local charities.
The chosen charities that will benefit from this year’s swimathon include St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice, Age UK, Hope House Hospice and Rotary charities.
The event involves a team of between four and seven members swimming for 55 minutes with one member only of the team being in the water at a time.
Organiser Joanne Charles said: “I am delighted with the number of entries but there are still plenty of team places available.
“If you can find a team of five or six friends why not support us?
“You will have some fun, exercise and hopefully raise sponsorship to help deserving charities.”
