A FORMER BBC political commentator will host a budget debate with council bosses.

Jim Hancock will host the online event where residents can ask questions to Cheshire West and Chester Council’s executive members.

The webcast will take place on at 6.40pm on Wednesday, January 29.

Following an introduction from Steve Robinson, CWAC’s chief executive, Jim will ask the five council directors about their plans and there will be questions from people watching the webcast.

Viewers will then be asked for more questions which will be put to the councillors live.

The event will last till roughly 9pm and in the final stages people will be able to vote online on council priorities.

A consultation document containing details of the draft budget proposals has been published on the council’s website and hard copies are available from libraries and other council buildings.
