A HEAD for heights and kind heart are needed for a sponsored challenge at a Northwich church.

St Helen’s Church is holding a sponsored abseil down it’s tower on Saturday, March 1.

The event has been organised to raise money and awareness for Christian Aid.

As well as the abseil there will be chance to find out more about some of the projects that Christian Aid is involved in.

Eric Walker, from the church, said: “We are hoping for a great event that will attract a significant number of people – those taking part in the abseil, those supporting them and many other people who will be drawn to the event.

“Not only do we want to raise money for Christian Aid but we also want to increase people’s awareness of its valuable work.”

He added: “Even if abseiling isn’t your thing, there will still be a lot of things going on.

“It promises to be a really good day.”
