A COMEDY night returns to a Northwich theatre on Saturday, January 25.

Haha at the Harlequin will feature top stand-up from Smug Roberts, who lists a host of TV and film appearances on his CV.

His acting performances include the hugely popular Bafta award winning TV shows Mrs Browns Boys, Buried, Cold Feet and Phoenix Nights and the films Looking For Eric and 24 Hour Party People.

Also on the bill is Ste Porter whose affable style both relaxes and delights audiences.

Ste is now a resident MC at The Slaughterhouse and The Slug and Lettuce and is a real crowd pleaser.

He is widely regarded as Liverpool's next big comedy talent.

Rachel Fairburn will also appear on the Harlequin stage, in Queen Street.

Rachel was a finalist in both the Funny Women and City Life North-West Comedian Of The Year competitions.

Barnton comic Kevin Dewsbury, event organiser, books all the acts himself and will take on the role of MC for the night.

He said: “I have a policy at bringing quality comedians to Northwich whilst keeping the ticket prices as low as possible.

“We are bringing a great night of entertainment to Northwich.

“It's January, blow those post-Christmas cobwebs away, don't stay in watching Dancing on Ice come and see live comedy in Northwich!”

Tickets, priced £10, are available online at harlequinplayers.co.uk, from the box office on 01606 246831 or on the door, although advance booking is advised.
