A SUPERMARKET bucket collection raised £784 for the Samaritans on Saturday, January 11.

Volunteers held the collection at Booths supermarket, in Knutsford.

The money raised will help with the day-to-day running costs of Mid-Cheshire Samaritans’ centre, which is in Manchester Road, in Northwich, and is required to enable volunteers to continue to offer confidential emotional support to people experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide, especially during these chaotic and poor financial times.

Anyone who can help the Samaritans with fundraising should email sam.northwich@gmail.com or ring 01606 43211 and leave details.
