OIL paintings of Winnington and Lostock’s chemical works will be featured at a Northwich gallery from Thursday, January 16.
The industrial architecture of Northwich Brunner Mond chemical works is being featured in an exhibition at ArtWork in Navigation Rd.
Hartford artist Chris Howard is taking over the newly extended gallery to show a collection of her oil paintings of Winnington and Lostock.
Carolyn Shepherd, founder of London Road Collective who manage the gallery, said: "We brought them to the Artisan Market recently and lots of people stopped to reminisce over them.
“So many local people have worked at ICI or have lived in the shadow of these higgledy piggledy buildings for so long and have come to love them in an odd sort of way.
“They often inspire artists, but this is the first time I've seen a whole collection of paintings devoted to this part of Northwich's heritage.
“Some will soon be demolished, so it seems appropriate to celebrate them before they are gone for good."
