ARTISTS are marking the centenary of the First World War by making sure that people do not forget it.

Cheshire Artists Network (CAN) is putting on a series of exhibitions across the county the year, with a lecture and artwork in Northwich on February 24.

The Art of War is the title of the lecture, organised by Development of the Arts in Northwich, which will be accompanied by artwork from CAN.

It will take place at Northwich Town Council’s council chamber, in Church Road, at 2pm.

Admission is £5.

The project is funded by the Arts Council and is part of the Imperial War Museum partnership.
