BAG packing volunteers raised more than £2,500 for a Northwich children’s charity thanks to the generosity of shoppers in the run up to Christmas.

A team of 55 volunteers raised £1534.83 in Sainsbury’s, in Northwich, on Friday, December 20, £539.35 in Quality Save, in Northwich, on Saturday, December 21, and £814.02 in Morrisons, in Winsford, on Monday, December 23.

The money was raised during a total of 200 volunteer hours.

Jo Pritchard, charity manager, said: “The Joshua Tree would like to thank all the customers of the stores for their outstanding generosity in helping us to raise funds.

“It was such a lovely end to an eventful year.”

The Joshua Tree Support Centre is now open at 1 Old Hall, Venables Road, Northwich, CW9 5RF holding regular drop in sessions and acting as a hub for outreach family support service.
