STUDENTS at Sir John Deane’s College donned festive fashion to raise money for those affected by typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
The students were taking part in Christmas Jumper Day to raise funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Philippines appeal.
A total of £241 was raised by the event, which was organised by the college’s Charities Committee, and held on Friday, December 13.
On the same day goods were collected for the Mid Cheshire Food Bank.
“There was some fantastic festive fashion on show from both the students and staff, and it was great to raise money for those who will be facing hardship this Christmas,” said Sarah Trenbirth from SJD.
