STUDENTS at Sir John Deane’s College recieved practical help to prepare for university interviews for medicine, dentistry and veterinary science.

Upper sixth students took part in a medical interview workshop with Dr Gordon Dent, admissions tutor at Keele University Medical School, which was organised by SJD tutor Dr Vim Jesudason who also works part-time at the medical school.

The students were asked to think about what interviewers will be looking for and to think about why interviews take place.

They were then asked to write their own questions and then interview each other.

“The students really enjoyed the workshop and we are really grateful for the time Dr Dent put into the workshop,” said Pauline Lowrie, tutor at Sir John Deane’s College.

“They now feel well prepared for the interviews that we hope they will soon be experiencing.”
