A SCHOOLBOY with a rare skin condition is enjoying a new wellbeing room thanks to the help of older students.
Year five St Wilfrid’s pupil Danny Griffiths has a fragile skin condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa, where blisters, open wounds and sores form as a result of the slightest touch, rub or trauma.
Year 11 girls, Daisy Smith, Rachel Dimelow, Rocel Saputil, Zoe Georgio, Jess Fleming and Eliza Loftus, from St Nicholas School in Hartford have been helping develop the room for the past 18 months.
The girls started coming into the school twice a week when they were in year 10 to help create the room which includes games, a television and a DVD player.
The room is decorated with the initials of Danny’s favourite football team, Everton, but is to be used by all children in need of time away from the playground and also for smaller groups of children to work in.
