THE police helicopter was in the sky above Northwich last night, December 12, following a series of burglaries in the Hartford region.
Four burglaries were reported in Cromwell Road, Abbey Way, Sandfield Lane and Stone Manor Lane.
The helicopter joined detectives, neighbourhood policing unit officers, a dogs unit and crime scene investigators during the operation.
The burglaries took place between 3pm-8pm.
It’s the second spike of burglaries in the Hartford region in a month, following a spate of offences in early November.
Northwich neighbourhood policing unit inspector, Paul Loughlin, urged residents to contact the police with information.
“We want calls about any suspicious cars or people.
“Sometimes people ring family first if they have concerns or don’t like to bother us as they we think we are too busy.
“But we want the calls. We want to keep Northwich safe.”
Anyone with information should call Cheshire Constabulary on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
