REBECCA Little is an actress of many pantomime parts.

She has brought to life countless fairies as well as other popular children’s characters, but this season she is the star of the show in Jack and the Beanstalk.

It will be her 13th year taking a bow on the stage at the Nottingham Playhouse, which always draws in the crowds.

“The magical thing about our pantomime is that is has such a massive following,” said Rebecca, who grew up in Northwich.

“Generations of the same families come back each year even though we don’t have a huge soap star or anyone famous performing with us.”

Instead of a big name, the cast depend on providing big laughs and this year Rebecca will be at the heart of it all.

Despite being nearly two hours away, Rebecca can depend on seeing some familiar faces in the audience on one night at least.

For her mum, Pauline, is organising a coach trip for her customers at LJ Little in Castle and anyone else who wants to attend.

“I am sure there are some spare tickets so anyone is welcome,” said Rebecca.

The Northwich coach trip leaves on January 12 and anyone who travels will be in for a treat.

Cast and crew are celebrating popular dame Kenneth Alan Taylor’s 30th year in pantomime.

He stars as Dame Daisy in the same show in which he began his career, Jack and the Beanstalk.

Rebecca has also reached a milestone as she performs for the 13th time in Nottingham in 15 years.

She said that it was the audience and her fellow cast that kept the experience feeling fresh each time.

“Everyone has fun on and off the stage,” she said. “What is really nice is that it is different every night depending on how the audience reacts.”
