BURGLARY prevention advice is being given in Davenham and Moulton after a string of incidents.

Three houses have been targeted by burglars in the past month, including properties in Beechfield, Lawrence Avenue and Eaton Lane.

PCSO Kat Stock said: “There has been an emerging trend across the A556 corridor to Chester and there is an ongoing operation in relation to that.

“There were between four and eight incidents with three done on the same day in Davenham and Moulton, in Beechfields, Lawrence Avenue and Eaton Lane.

“In other areas it was more spread out.”

PCSO Stock has been delivering advice and information leaflets across the villages in the wake of the incidents.

Clr Tony Rigby, chairman of Moulton Parish Council, said: “All the leaflets really helped and it’s been good to see an increased police presence.”

PCSO Stock said: “We would advise residents to have lights and even radios on timers – it sounds so simple but it’s obvious which houses there’s no-one in.”
