CARS were doused in a paint-melting chemical during a spate of criminal damage incidents in Northwich.

A silver Peugeot and a blue Hyundai were targeted in the Chester Road area of Castle overnight on Saturday, October 12.

An unidentified chemical was randomly applied to bodywork panels, causing the paint to melt off.

It is also believed further vehicles may have been damaged.
