Vintage inspiration for Blakemere's Heirs and Graces
A LOVER of all things vintage has realised her dream by relocating her business to a picturesque craft centre.
Jaqueline Lever, formerly ran her Heirs and Graces business from Weaverham but after more than three and a half years on High Street, the 52-year-old decided to move to Blakemere Craft Centre.
The Sandiway site, known for its community of independent retailers, boutique shops and artisan producers is the perfect location for Jaqueline, who runs the business with partner Mark Ryan.
“I was shopping in Blakemere one day and I just knew it would be perfect for us,” said Jaqueline.
“I loved the friendly atmosphere.”
The store offers a range of home accessories, painted furniture, vintage style porcelain, gifts and more at its purposely created showroom in Blakemere’s cobbled courtyard.
Jaqueline said: “I have always been interested in interiors. I decorated my Victorian house and people used to say it was beautiful and so I went and did an interior design course.”
As well as being crammed full of country village style, Heirs and Graces also boasts a state-of-the-art tea room, offering a wide choice of teas, Italian coffee and Folkington juices.
Heirs and Graces is an exclusive stockist of Dutch range Pip Studio, which uses intricate vintage-inspired designs with flowers, birds, patchwork and contrasting patterns across textiles, porcelain, stationary, wallpaper and bags.
“I spotted a cup and saucer in a magazine and fell in love with it, I was then on a mission to find out more about who the designer was and how to get one and after some investigation, I learned it was from a wonderful design company called Pip Studio.
“I just had to find out a bit more about them and their entire super cute and pretty products – I loved everything.”
Jaqueline was delighted when in 2010, Heirs and Graces became partners with Pip Studio.
She added: “We like to be a bit different from the norm we like our customers to be able to find beautiful gifts, our aim is to have homeware, accessories and gifts suitable for all ages and occasions.
“We hope you love our shop as much as we do.”
