MOTORISTS in Northwich are being advised to expect some evening roadworks while work continues to implement the permanent gyratory scheme.

The resurfacing work at the Chesterway/London Road junction will involve additional lane closures which have been scheduled to take place in the evenings to minimise further disruption.

The majority of the resurfacing work is due to be completed between next Monday, October 7 and Friday, each evening from 7pm to midnight.

Two additional evenings have been scheduled into the programme to complete the surfacing works on Sunday, October 27, and Sunday, November 3 between 4pm and midnight.

Details of the evening roadworks are as follows:

  • Monday, October 7 until Friday, October 11 – single-lane closures each evening from 7pm to midnight. All routes will remain open and the work will be undertaken using temporary traffic signals.
  • Sunday, October 27 - this work will require a road closure and a signed diversion route will be in place. Work time 4pm to midnight. Variable message signs will be erected on site to inform motorists.
  • Sunday, November 3 - this work will require a road closure and a signed diversion route will be in place. Work time 4pm to midnight. Variable message signs will be erected on site to inform motorists.

Motorists are advised that the works are weather dependent, and therefore the programme may be subject to change.
