Parish plans for play area in Moulton
A NEGLECTED play area will be brought into use under plans being discussed in Moulton.
The parish council hopes to take over responsibility for Weaver Road play area and work with Moulton School to create a wildflower meadow and art work.
“It’s our intention to involve the school as much as possible,” said Clr Tony Rigby, parish council chairman.
“If the kids take ownership hopefully they will feel more proud of it.
“It will provide something at that side of the village where there’s nothing.”
The parish council organised a letter drop to residents of Weaver Road to find out their thoughts on the plans.
Phil Sanders, parish clerk, said issues that came up included a request for no ball games on the park and an issue about a noisy gate.
“Two responses out of a group tends to suggest people are comfortable with what we are going to do with it.”
