Have you spotted a False Widow in your home?
BRITAIN'S most venomous spider has been spotted close to Northwich.
The False Widow spider, which has been known to cause amputations as a result of its poison, has reportedly been seen on more than 50 occasions in areas in London and Kent.
Station Road, Winsford resident Lisa Street saw one of the infampus arachnid clinging to an interior doorframe of her home in Station Road at 8am on Thursday, September 26.
Knutsford resident Jonathan Farber spotted the eight-legged creature when he went to close the window in his Grassfield Way property on Thursday afternoon.
The False Widow developed a large population in Devon after being transported to Britain in fruit from the Canary Islands.
Its distribution is expected to increase northwards due to warmer weather.
If bitten by the spider, experts recommend you immediately seek medical attention and tell them it was a false widow.
Symptoms can include pins and needles, mild chest pains and swelling near the area of the bite.
