No lollipop crossing for Moulton
9:10am Saturday 28th September 2013 in News
A LOLLIPOP person will not be sent to help families cross a Moulton road because there are not enough pedestrians, according to the council.
Moulton Parish Councill has had a letter from Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWAC) to say they cannot justify a crossing patrol at the junction of Main Road and School Lane.
Phil Sanders, parish council clerk, said: “CWAC sent someone out on July 9 between 8am and 9am to do a count of the number of people going across the junction.
“When the figures were put in the formula they weren’t high enough to meet the criteria for a lollipop crossing.”
