A DEVELOPER whose plans to build 100 home in Cuddington were refused is hoping their new scheme, of 60 homes, will be positively received.
The plans, put forward by Ashall Homes, will be unveiled at a public exhibition today, Wednesday, just weeks after Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWAC) refused planning permission for their original scheme.
CWAC refused the development - which would have seen up to 100 dwellings built on land bound by Kennel Lane, Dalefords Lane and Chester Road – after it was deemed to be a departure from the local plan.
Scott Ashall, director of Ashall Homes, said: “Our plans have recently been developed further and we are now proposing a reduction in the number of units by a quarter, to 60 homes.
“We believe that our plans represent an attractive residential development that has been designed with careful consideration of the local area.
“The public exhibition is a chance for the local community to view our new proposals and help shape the plans by letting us know what they think.”
Residents will be able to speak with members of the development team who will be on hand to answer any questions about the plans.
Mr Ashall added: “We want to continue to work with the people of Cuddington and Sandiway to develop these proposals, but we can only do this by listening and engaging with the community.
“We look forward to hearing what local people have to say.”
Details of the plans will be available for viewing at Cuddington and Sandiway Village Hall, Norley Road, between 3pm and 8pm today, Wednesday.

" listening and engaging with the community" means a box ticking exercise where we present plans to the community, then take no notice of any of their comments, before telling the council we have been " listening and engaging with the community" and the plans are the same
