A RURAL garage was hit by ram raiders who stole cigarette packets and fled.
Police were called to Bowers Three Ways Garage, in Lach Dennis, at 5.45am on March 1 following reports of a ram raid.
CCTV images recovered from the scene show a car reversing into the front of the premises, in Holmes Chapel Road, and two men going inside.
No staff were in the garage at the time.
A number of cigarette packets were stolen before the offenders fled.
A stolen car was later found burnt out in Vickers Way, in Northwich.
Officers are investigating whether the two incidents are connected and enquiries are continuing.
A Lach Dennis resident said: “Something like this happening in Lach Dennis is very frightening.”
