CYCLISTS from Weaver Valley Cycling Club braved the cold on Saturday morning to start their new season in fine style.

Around 60 cyclists set off from Moss Farm and rode an inspiring 115 miles into Wales.

They made record time on the outward journey to Llanberis, initially planned at 98 miles, which spurred them on to ride further to Caernarfon.

They stayed overnight and made the return journey on Sunday.

The Llanberis cycle is an annual event for the club.
