TODDLERS are busy making goods to sell in a bid to save their group.

Moulton Baby and Toddler Group is holding a table top sale on March 2 to raise funds and keep the community run collective together.

Sarah Gregory, from the group, said: “We might have to close down if we don’t have enough funds because we’ve got insurance to pay.

“We don’t want to have to close but we have to raise £160.”

The group is run by a handful of mums who take it in turns opening up, closing up, running sing songs and craft activities and making teas, coffees and snacks.

They meet at Moulton Village Hall, in Main Road, every Friday from 9.45am to 11.45am.

Sarah said: “Rather than coming and playing, the group is about getting involved and helping out.

“It’s a community toddler group rather than being run by someone, which is a lot nicer – it’s run on a friendly community basis.”

She added: “I love it – my little boy’s been coming since he was born, he’s three now and he loves it too.

“It’s a friendly environment to be around and all the members are lovely.”

Sarah said there are about 15 children on the group’s books, but numbers attending differ each week.

They charge £2.50 per session or £2 for people that block book.

At their latest session the children got stuck in with some crafts to make items for their stall at the fundraising sale.

This will take place at the village hall from 4pm to 6pm on March 2.

There will be a variety of stalls, from crafts and cakes to tombola and raffle, with prizes including a free pass to play at Polar Palace.

Admission to the sale is 50p and free for children.
